Getting Your Party to Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot 2027 is five days of racing in Berkshire, Tuesday 15 June through Saturday 19 June. Each day is one for dressing up and staying for the last race, and with a driver booked nobody in your party has to think about the journey home.

Why a 16-seater is the sweet spot

At the time of writing, minibuses with up to 16 seats, the driver's seat included, can let passengers out at the taxi rank inside Car Park 3's entrance. That means a party of up to 15 can be set down close to the action, which matters when you're in heels or a morning suit.

For Royal Enclosure guests, the set-down and collection points are Car Parks 1 and 3. If some of your party have Royal Enclosure badges and some don't, mention it and the operator can plan the drop-off around both.

Bigger groups and coaches

A larger party can travel together by coach, but coaches can't use Ascot High Street during Royal Ascot week. Coaches use Car Parks 8 and 10 for both setting down and parking, and although paying on the day is possible when there's space, booking ahead is strongly advised.

Advance parking sales stop roughly a week ahead of each day's racing; for the Tuesday, the cut-off is 7 June. So the sooner your transport is settled, the better. There's a nice touch for drivers too: coach drivers who show their PCV or PSV licence and work docket at a ticket office get into the Heath Enclosure free.

When and where

  • Ascot Racecourse, High Street, Ascot, Berkshire SL5 7JX
  • 15-19 June 2027 (Tuesday to Saturday)

Picnics by the vehicle

Plenty of groups like a picnic before racing, but keep it cold. Barbecues and hot food aren't allowed anywhere on racecourse property, and that includes the coach and car parks.

Your questions

What are the Royal Ascot dates for 2027?

Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 June 2027.

Which way will the driver come in from London?

By road from London, it's the M4 to Junction 6, then the A332 Windsor bypass. The train from London Waterloo takes about 52 minutes, with a 7-minute walk from Ascot station.

Is there parking for Blue Badge holders?

Yes. The racecourse sets aside Blue Badge parking, and for Royal Ascot it recommends reserving a space early. If anyone needs an accessible minibus, tell us when you ask for a quote.

When should we book?

As early as you can. Parking bookings close about a week before each day, so aim to have your vehicle confirmed well before the end of May.
