Choose Your City
Twenty cities have their own page, from Brighton up to Inverness. Each one covers where a minibus or coach can stop, the nearest airports and the days out people take from there.
Each city plays by its own rules
Birmingham, Bristol, Bath, Sheffield and Newcastle with Gateshead run charging clean air zones. Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen have low emission zones instead, which a vehicle can't pay its way into. Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Cardiff have no charging zone. Oxford has set-down bays in the centre but nowhere for a coach to park.
A base for the countryside
Plenty of these cities make a handy base for a day out. Skipton, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is about 27 miles from Leeds. From Glasgow it's around 20 miles to Loch Lomond at Balloch; from Southampton, around 10 to the New Forest; from Cardiff, around 40 to Brecon.
Your questions
My town isn't listed. Can I still book?
Yes. Send the plan. A trip starting near one of these cities, or passing through, is quoted in just the same way.
How accurate are the drive times?
They're approximate road times without stops. Traffic, roadworks and weather can all add to them.
Can one trip take in several cities?
Yes. A touring week from Edinburgh up to Inverness, for example, goes in one request and is priced as a single trip.
