Leeds Minibus Hire for Yorkshire Days Out
Leeds makes a fine base for Yorkshire. Within an hour you can be in Harrogate, Haworth, York or the Dales, and a minibus with a driver means the whole group enjoys the views, with nobody stuck behind the wheel.
Getting about in Leeds
The council marks a handful of coach drop-off and pick-up spaces in the centre, including two on Kirkgate by the market and two on Lower Briggate, handy for an evening out. For a longer wait, the coach park at Wade Lane and Lovell Park Road holds about a dozen vehicles and is paid from 08:30 until midnight.
You won't pay an emissions charge in Leeds itself. Next-door Bradford is different: its zone covers minibuses as well as coaches, reaching along the Aire valley to Shipley and Saltaire. If Saltaire is on your list, you'll be driving into that zone, so it's worth making sure the vehicle meets the standard.

Flying into Leeds Bradford
The airport is about 9 miles north-west of the city, roughly 25 minutes when the roads are quiet. It doesn't publish a coach pick-up point or a coach park, so smaller groups are usually met in the Pick Up and Drop Off car park, a minute's walk from the terminal, or the One Hour Free Zone a little further out.
Let us know the flight and your driver can plan where to wait before you land.

Dales, abbeys and stately homes
Harrogate and Fountains Abbey combine well, both lying north of the city. For the Brontës, Haworth is under an hour, and Skipton is your doorway into the Dales. Castle Howard, about an hour away, deserves a whole day of its own.
Closer to home, Harewood House and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park are ideal for a gentle half-day with lunch.
Cricket, rugby and football
Headingley hosts Yorkshire and England cricket as well as Leeds Rhinos, while Elland Road is home to Leeds United. On a big day the roads around both are slow, so plan a pickup a short walk from the ground and give yourselves a little slack for the drive home.
Your questions
Is there a charge for driving a minibus into Leeds?
No, the city itself has no charging zone. Bradford's is another matter, so trips to Bradford, Shipley or Saltaire need a compliant vehicle.
How long does it take to reach York?
About 45 minutes for the 25 or so miles, so York fits happily into a day with time for the Minster and the walls.
Can a minibus collect us at Leeds Bradford Airport?
Yes. With no published coach bay, drivers normally use the Pick Up and Drop Off car park near the terminal, which is charged and paid at the exit barrier.
