Bath Minibus Hire for Spa Days, Weddings and Village Tours
Bath is a small Georgian city that fills up fast in summer. A minibus with a driver lets you hop between the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent and a country lunch without worrying where to leave the car.
The Clean Air Zone
The historic centre has been a Class C Clean Air Zone since March 2021. A coach has to reach Euro VI to enter without paying, while a minibus needs a Euro 6 diesel or Euro 4 petrol engine. Private cars are never charged, so your own guests driving in won't notice it, but the hired vehicle will. It's a sensible thing to confirm when you book.

Short stops in the centre
The on-street coach bays are for dropping off and picking up, each with its own time limit. Terrace Walk and North Parade are close to the Roman Baths and the Abbey, and give ten minutes. Royal Avenue, beside the Royal Victoria Park, suits the Royal Crescent and the Circus, and allows twenty. James Street West and Pulteney Road have bays too.
For a stop longer than an hour and a half, vehicles go to Odd Down Park & Ride on the edge of the city, which has coach spaces, toilets and buses back into town for the driver. In summer the centre gets very busy, so plan arrival and collection times with some care.

Where groups usually stay

- City centre (Abbey, Milsom Street, Queen Square)
The Christmas Market
Bath's Christmas Market comes round each year from the end of November. While it's on, all coaches are sent to Royal Avenue, a five-minute stroll from the market, and each drop-off and collection needs a slot reserved ahead; the Odd Down coach park closes for the duration. Slots go on sale in August, so plan early.
Villages and stone circles
Lacock and Castle Combe are each about half an hour away and make a perfect village afternoon. Wells, Longleat and Cheddar Gorge are within an hour, and Stonehenge is about an hour's drive.
Your questions
Which airport is best for Bath?
Bristol Airport is about 20 miles away, roughly 45 minutes by road. Heathrow is about 105 miles, around two hours via the M4, so allow plenty of time.
Can the minibus wait outside the Thermae Bath Spa?
Not for long. The nearby bays are for a quick drop-off and pick-up, so the driver will set you down, park elsewhere and return at a time you agree.
Is Bath a good base for a wedding party?
Very. Guests can stay in town, and the Assembly Rooms and the Guildhall host dinners and receptions right in the centre, with country venues a short drive away.
